It was great to meet so many members at your visit to the State Capitol last Wednesday. The networking opportunity with your senators will pay dividends for you and the Association. Please feel free to come to the Capitol any time and engage in the process.

LB821, the Workplace Privacy Act, advanced to General File with a Business and Labor Committee amendment that clarifies employers’ rights regarding access and oversight for websites, electronic devices, social media, etc.

LB748 and LB1046 were bundled into LB1105 and prioritized by the General Affairs Committee. Sen. Larson, chair of the committee, has an affinity for bundling. Unfortunately, his success record for passing bills this session is “zero for five”. This one appears problematic as well because it came out of his committee on a split vote, 5 to 3.
